thanks alot dr.orfali
If you allow me to ask this question regarding the splinting time of avulsed tooth .
the recommended time is 2weeks as far as I know but I found it weared that in the
iadt-dentaltrauma guideline where in avulsed tooth if extra-oral time is more than 60 min. then the splinting time is 4 weeks rather than 2weeks ?
I mean what is the rationale behine this extending period ?

thanx alot

Dear Dr.Al-Nasser,
If a tooth has been out of the socket more than 60 min and not kept moist in a suitable medium PDL cells and fiper will not survive,Replacment resorption (ankylosis) will be started after reimplantation,Therefore, treating the root surace with fluride(2.4%Sod Fluoride for 5 to 20min) to slow the resorptive process and you may do RCT before reimplantation in this case you splint for 4 weeks you can read more about the differant method of treating the root surf in path way of the pulp an Ingle
Regards

Dear Dr.Khaled,
I would like to thank you for your great effort in modrating this excellant website.
Regarding your qustion,As you know Dr.Khaled ,Endodontics is a fascinating process. Techniques can be debated and argued, with each professional making their own decision on what works best for them and their patients. There are several new lines of files that have recently become available, all of which are quite different in design and performance. Over several years, as we have used and taught NiTi files,we have learned that dentists are looking for four features. The features are improved efficiency, better flexibility, greater safety, and importantly, simplicity. I woul like our website member to read the report of the AAE in this regard which has been written by Prof.Peters.O.A Rotary Instrumentation - AAE 2007,Thank you.

Many thanks Dr. saud....will it be possible to share this document with us...I do not know how to get it....

I would like also to add....that once a clinician becomes frequented with RNTFs they will become the master mind of their own system and might end up with their own recipe.
